Bright is located nestled in the Ovens valley in northeastern Victoria. Traveling along the Great Alpine Road turn left down Ashwood Avenue just past the information rotunda at the start of town. Ashwood Cottages is located on the Ovens River at the end of the street on the right 4 hours from Melbourne CBD, 7hrs from Sydney CBD and 4hrs from Canberra.
